The turbines can be used in many different areas e.g. for pipeline transmission of natural gas and crude oil or for electricity generation for oil platforms, large buildings or vessels. 

Solar Turbines Digital is delivery focused, fast moving and dynamic technology division of Solar Turbines whose main goal is developing and deploying innovative and robust technology solutions for remotely connecting and monitoring Solar turbomachinery packages globally, as part of a comprehensive business and technology strategy. The customers are global Oil & Gas, Pipeline and Power Generation companies located all over the world. The Digital team has approximately 250 people across San Diego, Switzerland and Slovakia. 

Job description, responsibilities and duties 

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Python developer who possess excellent communication skills and ability to learn. You will be part of the international team working in agile environment responsible for development of new functions, new applications, functional enhancement and maintenance of a set of back-end applications. The back-end applications are Python based.. 

You will be responsible for: 

  • Review of requirement and design specifications 
  • Perform “proof of concept” for new developments 
  • New applications and features development 
  • Support and interact with testers 
  • Bug hunting & fixing 



  • Advanced programming skills in any of the following:
    • Object Oriented Programming
    • Python 3.5
  • Other Programming skills (nice to have)
    • C#
    • Http methods
    • Web services
  • Databases
    • MySQL
  • Versioning
    • GIT
  • Other
    • Willingness to learn new technologies
    • Agile software methodology – SCRUM
